Houseware joins LaunchDarkly: A new chapter begins!

Today, I’m thrilled to share a major milestone: Houseware has been acquired by LaunchDarkly. When my co-founder, Shubhankar Srivastava, and I started Houseware in November 2021, we set out to redefine product analytics with a warehouse-native approach. What began as a bold vision quickly evolved into a movement, empowering product and data teams to unlock the full potential of their cloud data warehouse.

Houseware & LaunchDarkly

Last year, we had the opportunity to meet Dan Rogers (CEO, LaunchDarkly) and Claire Vo (CPTO, LaunchDarkly), and we were immediately struck by their vision and the exceptional execution that has fueled the success of LaunchDarkly over the years. As we explored the synergies between our teams, one question kept coming up:

“What would it take for enterprises to fast-track their adoption of the warehouse-native movement and seamlessly integrate it into their software development lifecycle?”

For us, the answer was clear—by joining forces with LaunchDarkly, we could accelerate the momentum Houseware had already built and drive this vision forward at an even greater scale. With this acquisition, I’m excited to continue this mission alongside the incredible Houseware team, now as part of LaunchDarkly.

The Houseware Journey

When we founded Houseware, our mission was to redefine the role of the cloud data warehouse—flipping its value from passive storage to an active engine for decision-making. That vision is reflected in our name, Houseware, flip of the word “Warehouse”. From our early days, we recognized that organizations needed a better way to bridge the gap between data and decision-making. Product and data teams wanted insights, not dashboards. They wanted action, not just analysis.

Winning the Snowflake Startup Challenge in 2022 was an early validation of this movement, but it was just the beginning. Since then, we’ve had the privilege of transforming enterprises by embedding warehouse-native analytics into their core operations.

What excites us most is not just the rapid rise in adoption of warehouse-native technology but the role Houseware has played in shaping this shift. Seeing our vision become a reality across industries has been incredibly rewarding. As data becomes more central to AI agents and systems, I am confident that this is just the start.

For our customers, this means an even stronger foundation for the future. The core of Houseware—our warehouse-native approach, no-code analytics, and deep Snowflake integration—will continue to evolve within the LaunchDarkly ecosystem.

Leading Houseware as CEO has been an incredible journey—one that wouldn’t have been possible without so many extraordinary people. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our current and former team members, customers, users, investors, and the countless individuals who became part of the Houseware village. Whether in small ways or big, your support, belief, and contributions have shaped our journey, and for that, I am endlessly grateful.

And finally, to our family and friends—your unwavering support has been our foundation. You gave us the strength to take on ambitious missions and the comfort of knowing we always had a shoulder to lean on. We couldn’t have done this without you. Thank you—you know who you are!

What LaunchDarkly and Houseware will do together…

LaunchDarkly is a pioneering company that has set the gold standard for feature management, helping engineering teams ship faster and more safely. With our shared philosophy of empowering teams with data-driven decisions, this acquisition brings together the best of both worlds—feature management and experimentation, seamlessly integrated with warehouse-native analytics. Today, over 5,500 leading enterprises—including a quarter of the Fortune 500—trust LaunchDarkly to deliver seamless customer experiences and drive business impact at scale.

We are incredibly excited to introduce a new wave of innovation, uniquely positioning us to deliver a unified, warehouse-native platform for experimentation and analytics. By combining the strengths of Houseware and LaunchDarkly, we will empower our customers with deeper insights, seamless experimentation, and data-driven decision-making—all within their data warehouse.

Alongside this acquisition, LaunchDarkly has also announced the private preview of Warehouse Native Experimentation, its Snowflake Native App, to offer Data Warehouse Native Experimentation. Together, these initiatives enable LaunchDarkly to deliver a seamless, unified experimentation platform—engineered for development teams, loved by product teams—while harnessing the power of AI-driven analytics for deeper insights into customer engagement and product performance.
