Q: Is Houseware Analytics really free? What am I missing here?

Yes, Houseware Analytics is really ZERO cost for all users in your organization. Currently, we are opening access to customers of our Launch Partners as follows:

As with any data tool, you will incur usage charges on your data platform (e.g., Snowflake or BigQuery). To learn more about our approach to commoditized product analytics, [read here](link to commoditized PA blog).

Q: How is Houseware Analytics different from traditional product analytics solutions like Mixpanel/Amplitude?

Traditional product analytics tools like Mixpanel and Amplitude combine data processing, storage, and application into a single product.

In contrast, Houseware Analytics uses your existing data warehouse and customer data platform (CDP) to power product analytics insights. Here’s how we use these two components:

  • Data Warehouse Integration: Houseware Analytics connects with your existing data warehouse to access your product usage data (event-stream data). We currently support Snowflake and BigQuery.
  • CDP Flexibility: Houseware Analytics allows you to implement any CDP of your choice to track the product usage events from your app (eg.: tools like RudderStack or Segment).

Check out this blog to learn how Houseware Analytics is different.

Q: Who is Houseware Analytics for?

Houseware Analytics is best suited for organizations that:

  • Adopt a data-centric approach to customer insights
  • Utilize a data warehouse (like Snowflake and BigQuery) and CDP (RudderStack, Segment, etc.)
  • Are existing customers of Mixpanel or Amplitude struggling to justify ROI

Q: How do I compare the total cost of ownership (TCO) for Houseware Analytics and Mixpanel/Amplitude?

Traditional product analytics tools like Mixpanel and Amplitude charge customers for data processing, storage, and the application (used by end users).

Houseware Analytics decouples these components and offers its application at ZERO cost, resulting in a significantly lower TCO than Mixpanel or Amplitude.

Q: What is your Product Analytics roadmap?

We are always excited to bring new innovations to our product. As part of our 2024 roadmap, our team is working along the following themes:

  1. Improved collaboration
  2. AI-powered workflows
  3. Enhanced support for data warehouses
  4. Enabling deeper analysis through analyst-friendly features
